Quick Verdict
For an active trader who wants one repeatable import → review → next-action workflow, TSB Full Access is our first pick; TradeZella is the stronger replay-first subscription, and TraderSync is the clearest mobile-first option.

That order is not universal. TSB is our product, and the ranking weights long-term ownership, behavioral review, data portability, and prop-account workflow. If your priority is a native phone app, a particular broker connection, mentor sharing, or a social verified profile, another journal below can be the better fit. Check your exact broker and plan before paying.

Editorial correction and ownership disclosure

The existing title/H1 is protected during this Stage 1 content pass because the page already receives search traffic. We could not locate a frozen three-month test protocol, account list, test dataset, or observation log inside the project that reproduces the headline’s “tested over 3 months” claim. This revision therefore does not present a hands-on test score. It is a source-checked comparison of visible plan terms and documented capabilities, reviewed September 7, 2026. A title without the unverified test claim is included in the local CTR options for separate approval. TSB is built and sold by this site; the other products are not paid placements in this draft.

The Seven Best Trading Journal Apps for This Workflow

This is a real editorial ranking, not an automatically generated league table. It assumes an active trader wants accurate imports, useful segmentation, an end-of-session review, and a way to turn evidence into the next rule. The order stays fixed until a human review changes the article; price and feature changes alone must not silently rewrite the verdict.

  1. #1 TSB Full Access
$299 lifetime or $49/month; Free workspace available
Best fit for a trader who values lifetime ownership, behavioral review, portable data, and prop-account analysis—and accepts a responsive web app instead of a native mobile app.
  2. #2 TradeZella
    September 2026 snapshot: $35 / $59 / $99 monthly list prices
Best fit for replay, backtesting, AI-assisted review, and multi-account workflows in one subscription; feature limits vary sharply by plan.
  3. #3 TraderSync
    September 2026 snapshot: $29.95 / $49.95 / $79.95 monthly list prices
Best fit when broad broker coverage and native iOS/Android access matter enough to evaluate the Elite plan requirement for mobile.
  4. #4 Edgewonk
September 2026 snapshot: conflicting promotional checkout copy; verify checkout
Best fit for psychology, process, missed-trade, and trade-management review. The current product is online; the downloadable desktop edition is legacy.
  5. #5 Tradervue
September 2026 snapshot: Free, $29.95 Silver, or $49.95 Gold monthly
Best fit for established reporting, trade sharing, and mentor workflows, with a useful 30-trade-per-month free import allowance.
  6. #6 Chartlog
    September 2026 snapshot: $14.99 / $29.99 / $39.99 monthly
Best fit for stock-focused chart review at a lower paid entry price, provided its broker-specific import method works for you.
  7. #7 Kinfo
September 2026 snapshot: Free, $24.90 Pro, or $44.90 Pro+ monthly
Best fit for broker-verified performance, social discovery, and mobile access; it is a different workflow from a deep discretionary review journal.

Quick Comparison Table

Prices below are public list or checkout snapshots in USD as displayed on September 7, 2026. Taxes, currency conversion, promotions, annual prepayment, refund rules, AI credits, account limits, and broker coverage can change. “Auto” never means every broker: verify the exact broker, platform, asset class, account type, and import direction in a trial or free workspace.

Seven visible ranked journal apps, compared from official product documentation and local TSB product truth
Rank and journal Current price snapshot Import route Replay / AI Mobile Best fit Checked
1. 5. Tradervue Free; $29.95 Silver / $49.95 Gold monthly Standard imports plus Broker Sync on paid plans; Free imports 30 logical trades/month Deep reports; no AI or replay claim relied on here Native app: Not verified Reporting, sharing, and mentoring Sep 7, 2026
6. Chartlog $14.99 Lite / $29.99 Standard / $39.99 Pro monthly; lower annual equivalents shown Manual upload for many integrations; automatic for a smaller named set Charting on Lite; strategy and insights expand by tier Native app: Not verified Chart-centric stock review Sep 7, 2026
7. Kinfo $0 Free / $24.90 Pro / $44.90 Pro+ monthly; annual toggle says 25% saving Broker auto-sync; supported broker set is narrower and must match your account Performance analytics and verified profiles; classic replay: Not verified Web, iOS, and Android Verified performance and social/mobile use Sep 7, 2026

Fast answer by intent: start with TSB Free, Tradervue Free, or Kinfo Free if the budget is zero; test TraderSync if native mobile is non-negotiable; compare TradeZella Pro with TraderSync’s relevant tier if replay is central; use Edgewonk when psychology and process variables matter more than a glossy leaderboard; consider Chartlog when its stock-oriented integrations match your broker.

What Makes a Good Trading Journal

A trading journal app is useful only if it preserves the trade correctly and changes what you inspect next. A longer feature list is not evidence of a better decision. Before choosing, run the same small workflow in every finalist: import 20–30 representative closed trades, reconcile fills and fees against the broker statement, tag one setup and one mistake, produce a session or setup breakdown, write one next-session rule, then export the data.

1. Exact import compatibility. “Hundreds of brokers” is a marketing aggregate. Your decision depends on one broker, one platform, one account type, and one asset class. Ask whether the route is a read-only API, scheduled sync, desktop bridge, statement upload, generic CSV, or manual entry. Test partial fills, options legs, futures multipliers, fees, time zones, and duplicate handling before importing years of history.

2. Analysis that matches your question. At minimum, you should be able to segment net results by setup, instrument, side, session, holding period, and rule adherence. Replay is valuable for execution review; it is not a substitute for reconciled P&L. AI can summarize a dataset, but its answer is only as reliable as the imports, labels, and sample behind it.

3. A sustainable review loop. Count the clicks and minutes from a broker statement to a decision. A powerful journal that you abandon is worse than a simple sheet you review every week. The relevant friction is not only trade entry: it includes correcting imports, attaching charts, normalizing tags, separating strategy versions, and finding the same report again.

4. Plan gates and total cost. Compare the tier that contains the feature you need, not the advertised starting price. Native mobile, multiple accounts, replay resolution, AI credits, history, exports, and mentor access may sit on different plans. Keep annual prepayment and temporary discounts separate from month-to-month list pricing.

5. Portability and privacy. Confirm how to export trades, notes, tags, and images; whether deleting an account deletes all data; and whether social sharing is opt-in. Broker credentials deserve particular care. Prefer documented read-only access and revoke any connection you stop using.

6. A profile-relative verdict. There is no meaningful generic “Fit Score.” A scalper who needs sub-second replay, a swing trader who logs five trades a month, a prop trader monitoring daily-loss rules, and a mentor reviewing ten accounts have different requirements. The cards below state the profile each verdict assumes.

TSB Full Access

Our product · ownership conflict disclosed
TSB Full Access
Web trading review system with an optional Premium Notion workspace
$299 lifetime or $49/month
Lifetime or monthly
Lifetime option AI Coach Backtester Prop Replay CSV / JSON export

Who it fits: a forex, crypto, futures, stock, or prop-account trader who wants the journal to surface behavioral leaks and setup drift, then keep the resulting review workflow without an indefinite subscription. This weighting is favorable to the product we built, so treat the rank as an editorial disclosure—not independent proof.

The current local product truth lists manual entry; CSV, TSV, JSON, and HTML uploads; MT4/MT5 reports or EA sync; supported broker and exchange routes; and TradingView context capture through a browser extension. Full Access includes unlimited trades and history, up to 15 connections, the full Leak Map and reports, AI Coach, Backtester/setup validation, Prop Replay monitoring and history, and an optional Premium Notion workspace. Data can be exported as CSV or JSON.

The free workspace accepts up to 30 new trades per month and supports three exchange connections plus supported imports, giving a real way to test one’s own data before purchase. In the September 2026 snapshot, the lifetime price is lower than seven $49 monthly payments ($343), but that arithmetic compares TSB’s own two payment modes only; it does not prove feature equivalence with another product, and it ignores tax and the time value of money.

Strengths for this profile
  • Lifetime and monthly paths, plus a usable free import allowance
  • Behavior, setup, backtest, and prop-rule review in one workflow
  • Portable CSV/JSON data and optional—not required—Notion workspace
  • Seven-day card refund window documented in the local checkout truth
Trade-offs
  • No native iOS or Android app; mobile access is responsive web
  • Newer product than long-running alternatives such as Tradervue
  • Exact broker support still matters; some routes remain file-based
  • This site has a direct financial interest in the recommendation
Editorial verdict: first for the stated ownership-and-review profile, not “best for everyone.” Start with a representative import and reject the pick if your broker route, correction workflow, or mobile needs do not hold up.

Tradervue

September 2026 snapshot: live plan prices and limits are normalized in the canonical provider card above; the prose below preserves the dated evidence behind the editorial verdict.

Established reporting and mentor workflow
Tradervue
Detailed reports, broker import, trade sharing, and mentoring
Free · $29.95 · $49.95
Free / Silver / Gold monthly

Who it fits: stock, options, futures, or forex traders who prioritize mature reporting, sharing selected trades, or working with a mentor. It is also a low-risk starting point when 30 imported logical trades per calendar month is enough to validate the workflow.

Tradervue’s current pricing page lists Silver at $29.95 per month and Gold at $49.95 per month. Both paid plans list unlimited trade imports, unlimited trading accounts, mentor/mentee access, and Broker Sync; Gold adds fields such as exit analysis, risk reporting, and commission support. Its help center states that the free plan can import 30 logical trades per calendar month—not 100, and not 30 executions.

The older article’s “manual CSV only” description is no longer accurate. Tradervue documents both standard broker/platform imports and Broker Sync. Connection coverage and method still vary, so select the exact broker rather than assuming the logo count answers the question. We did not find a current first-party page establishing a native iOS or Android app, so native mobile remains Not verified here.

Strengths for this profile
  • Free 30-trade monthly import allowance
  • Paid Broker Sync and unlimited accounts/imports
  • Detailed reporting, sharing, and mentor/mentee tools
  • Explicit support for multiple major asset classes
Trade-offs
  • Gold costs $599.40 over 12 month-to-month payments before tax
  • No native mobile app was verified from current first-party documentation
  • Replay and AI are not reasons for this pick
  • Free quota can truncate a large import, so use date-bounded chunks
Editorial verdict: choose Tradervue when reporting and collaboration beat replay or native mobile in your requirements. The free quota makes it easy to verify that claim with your own broker file.

Edgewonk

September 2026 snapshot: the conflicting checkout messages remain dated evidence; the canonical card intentionally reports the live price as Not verified.

Psychology and process analysis
Edgewonk
Online journal with psychology, missed-trade, simulator, and trade-management tools
Verify checkout
Page displayed $197 / 16 months promotion

Who it fits: a process-focused trader willing to record qualitative variables—discipline, plan adherence, missed trades, execution, and mental state—and review them alongside returns. It is not the old Java desktop-only product described by the previous article.

Edgewonk’s own legacy page calls the downloadable desktop software “legacy” and directs users to the current online-based journal. The current pricing page lists unlimited journals, accounts, prop accounts, strategies, and trade imports, alongside psychology and trade-management analysis. Its 2026 changelog documents responsive improvements and an MT5 EA auto-import route in early access.

The pricing page is internally inconsistent at the snapshot date: introductory copy says “invest $169 today,” while the offer block says $197 billed every 16 months, with VAT calculated at checkout. We therefore do not normalize Edgewonk into a precise annual-cost winner. The correct price for a reader is the final checkout total and renewal cadence shown before payment.

Strengths for this profile
  • Psychology, routine, and trade-management variables are first-class
  • Current online product supports multiple journals and accounts
  • Alternative-strategy and simulator tools connect process to outcomes
  • Import surface is broader than the old manual-only description suggested
Trade-offs
  • Conflicting sale copy prevents a clean current price claim
  • Some automated routes are broker-specific or early access
  • Native mobile app is Not verified
  • Detailed manual labels add value only if the trader records them consistently
Editorial verdict: a strong psychology-and-process choice. Do not buy it as a cheap legacy desktop license; evaluate the current online application and the exact importer you need.

TradeZella

September 2026 snapshot: live offerings render from the canonical provider card above; the article keeps the dated July plan evidence for its editorial comparison.

Replay-first subscription
TradeZella
Automated journal, analytics, backtesting, AI, and prop-account sync
$35 · $59 · $99
Essential / Pro / Ultra monthly

Who it fits: an active trader who wants journal review, replay, backtesting, AI summaries, strategy organization, and prop-account features in one modern web subscription. Select the tier from the capability you need—not the starting price.

TradeZella’s official July 2026 pricing update lists Essential at $35 per month or $315 per year, Pro at $59 per month or $531 per year, and Ultra at $99 per month or $891 per year. The same plan table says Essential has one broker account, 10 strategies, and 500 AI credits; Pro expands to 50 broker accounts, unlimited strategies and trade replays, 1,500 AI credits, and 10 automated backtests per month; Ultra raises capacity further.

The vendor states that all plans include automated journaling across 500+ brokers, analytics, Zella AI, manual and automated backtesting, and Prop Firm Sync. Treat those as documented vendor capabilities, not an accuracy result from this article: reconcile your exact platform’s fills, fees, and timestamps. A current first-party comparison page describes TradeZella as web-only, so a native app is Not verified for this review.

Strengths for this profile
  • Journal, replay, backtesting, AI, and prop workflows under one account
  • Published plan table makes major capacity gates visible
  • Large claimed integration surface across asset classes
  • Annual price is explicit rather than inferred from a temporary coupon
Trade-offs
  • Unlimited trade replay starts at Pro, not the $35 entry tier
  • Annual Pro is a $531 upfront commitment before tax
  • Broker and AI counts are vendor claims, not quality measures
  • Native iOS/Android app was not verified
Editorial verdict: the strongest replay-first subscription in this seven-product set for the stated profile. Compare Pro—not Essential—when unlimited replay is the reason you are buying.

TraderSync

September 2026 snapshot: live offerings render from the canonical provider card above; dated prose remains to explain the mobile and tier decision.

Mobile-first and broad broker coverage
TraderSync
Multi-asset analytics, Cypher AI, replay, and native mobile apps
$29.95 · $49.95 · $79.95
Monthly list prices; promotions may differ

Who it fits: a trader whose exact broker is supported and who wants native iOS/Android access, multi-asset reporting, or higher-resolution replay enough to pay for the corresponding tier.

TraderSync’s current pricing page displays Pro, Premium, and Elite list prices of $29.95, $49.95, and $79.95 per month, while also showing temporary annual discounts. The same page says it connects with more than 700 brokers and platforms. Because its homepage and third-party comparison copy sometimes use different totals, we use the conservative, current pricing-page claim “700+” rather than declaring a market-wide winner.

TraderSync documents iOS and Android apps. A separate official knowledge-base entry says an active Elite subscription is required to access the mobile app; that is the gating fact to verify before choosing TraderSync for mobile. Analytics, account limits, AI access, and replay resolution differ by tier, so the $29.95 headline cannot stand in for an Elite mobile or coaching workflow.

Strengths for this profile
  • Native Android and Apple apps are documented
  • At least 700 supported brokers/platforms claimed on the current pricing page
  • Multiple asset classes and increasingly deep replay by tier
  • AI-assisted performance analysis is integrated with the journal
Trade-offs
  • Official help says mobile access requires active Elite
  • Promotional pricing can obscure the recurring list price
  • The aggregate broker count does not guarantee your import route
  • Elite list price is $959.40 over 12 monthly payments before tax
Editorial verdict: the clearest mobile-first choice here—provided the Elite requirement and exact broker connection pass your trial. If mobile is occasional rather than central, compare the full tier cost against responsive-web alternatives.

Honorable Mentions

September 2026 snapshot: exact Chartlog and Kinfo offerings render from the canonical cards above; these dated paragraphs retain the profile-specific reasoning.

Chartlog and Kinfo complete the seven-product ranking. They are not filler: each can be the correct first choice for a narrower profile that the top five do not serve as directly.

#6 Chartlog: lower-cost, chart-centric stock review

Chartlog’s official pricing page lists Lite at $14.99 monthly ($13.49 monthly equivalent when billed yearly), Standard at $29.99 ($25.49 yearly equivalent), and Pro at $39.99 ($31.99 yearly equivalent). Lite includes unlimited trades, journaling, and charting; Standard adds strategy tracking and basic insights; Pro adds advanced and custom reports.

Import support is not one universal sync. Chartlog’s own integration directory labels a small group—including TD Ameritrade, CMEG, CenterPoint, and Great Point Capital—as automatic, while many others such as Interactive Brokers, DAS Trader Pro, Webull, TradeStation, thinkorswim, and tastyworks are shown as manual upload routes. Its import course also documents direct login, broker files, generic CSV, and manual entry depending on the platform. Native mobile is Not verified.

Choose it if chart screenshots, stock-trade review, and a $14.99 paid entry tier matter more than broad automatic sync. Skip it if your required broker is merely “coming soon,” you need a native mobile app, or you need deeper reports without moving to Standard or Pro.

Official pricing → · Official integration methods → · Official import workflow →

#7 Kinfo: broker-verified performance and mobile social workflow

Kinfo’s current pricing page lists Free at $0, Pro at $24.90 per month, and Pro+ at $44.90 per month, with a yearly toggle advertising a 25% saving. Free includes broker auto sync, basic analytics, and a verified profile. Pro adds full history, priority sync, and advanced reports; Pro+ adds features including spread detection and Excel/Google Sheets integration.

Kinfo describes itself as a social trading app that imports and verifies broker data, supports private or public use, and runs on web, iOS, and Android. That makes it attractive when reputation, verified performance, and mobile access are the job. It is not automatically equivalent to a discretionary journal built around screenshots, rule taxonomies, replay, or long-form session notes.

Choose it if your broker is supported and you want a low-friction verified track record or social/mobile view. Skip it if you need an unsupported regional broker, advanced classic journaling on Free, or a replay-first workflow. Confirm privacy settings before exposing any profile or trades.

Cost Comparison: Subscriptions vs One-Time

Do not compare a product’s cheapest tier with the competitor tier that contains your required feature. The table below uses simple nominal USD arithmetic from the September 7, 2026 public snapshot; it does not claim feature equivalence, include taxes, forecast price changes, or value future cash flows.

Illustrative cost arithmetic using current list prices, not a value score
ExamplePayment basis12-month nominal cash outlayThree-year nominal cash outlayImportant limit
TSB Full Access$299 once$299$299Only comparable if TSB fits the actual workflow
Tradervue Gold monthly$49.95 × months used$599.40$1,798.20Gold chosen for its additional analysis fields
TradeZella Pro annual$531 prepaid each year$531$1,593Assumes annual list price repeats; Pro chosen for unlimited replay
TraderSync Elite monthly$79.95 × months used$959.40$2,878.20List-price example for documented mobile gate; promotions excluded
Chartlog Pro annual$31.99 × 12, billed yearly$383.88$1,151.64Assumes displayed annual equivalent and unchanged renewal
Kinfo Pro monthly$24.90 × months used$298.80$896.40Monthly basis only; displayed annual discount excluded

Edgewonk is omitted from this arithmetic because the same pricing page displayed conflicting $169 and $197 sale messages. A precise-looking three-year total would be less honest than “verify checkout.” Likewise, temporary TraderSync discounts are excluded because the recurring price and offer duration are the relevant cost.

Which Journal Is Right for You?

I want lifetime ownership and behavior review
Test TSB Free first. Buy only if your import path reconciles and the Leak Map / review flow answers a real question.
Replay and backtesting drive the decision
Compare TradeZella Pro and the relevant TraderSync tier. Use the same trades and measure correction time, replay granularity, and plan caps.
I need a native Android or iOS journal
Test TraderSync and Kinfo. TraderSync’s help center says Elite is required; Kinfo serves a more social, broker-verified workflow.
Psychology and rule adherence matter most
Compare Edgewonk with TSB. Decide whether detailed manual process tagging or automated leak detection better matches your routine.
A mentor needs to review my trades
Start with Tradervue. Its paid plan documentation explicitly includes unlimited mentors / mentees and sharing-oriented workflows.
I mainly review stock charts on a budget
Check Chartlog Lite. First confirm whether your broker is automatic, manual upload, or only listed as coming soon.

A seven-step trial that produces evidence

  1. Write down the broker, platform, asset class, account count, device, and one question the journal must answer.
  2. Choose 20–30 closed trades containing partial fills, fees, a loss, a multi-leg or scaled trade if relevant, and at least two setups.
  3. Import them through the route you would use every week; do not accept a sales demo as proof.
  4. Reconcile trade count, net P&L, fees, timestamps, side, quantity, and duplicates against the source statement.
  5. Build the same setup, session, mistake, and execution review in each finalist.
  6. Export the journal and inspect whether trades, notes, tags, and dates remain usable outside the app.
  7. Choose the cheapest plan that passed the workflow. If none passes, keep the spreadsheet and document the gap.

Start Journaling for Free

A paid app is not the first step. The first step is proving you will reconcile, tag, and review a stable sample. TSB Free allows 30 new trades per month and three exchange connections plus supported imports; Tradervue Free allows 30 imported logical trades per calendar month; Kinfo Free includes broker auto sync, basic analytics, and a verified profile when the broker is supported. A spreadsheet remains the most portable zero-cost fallback.

Use the free period to test data quality, not to admire the dashboard. If the same fill appears twice, fees disappear, options legs split incorrectly, or timestamps move sessions, the resulting win rate and expectancy are wrong no matter how polished the report looks. Fix the import mapping or choose another route before adding more history.

Test the review loop on your own trades

Import a bounded sample, verify it against the broker statement, and ask one concrete question before choosing a paid plan.

Methodology, Source Checks, and Limitations

This revision compared current first-party pricing pages, help centers, product pages, and the project’s canonical TSB product truth. It did not use star ratings, testimonials, affiliate payouts, generic “best” badges, or a fabricated Fit Score. Product claims such as broker counts and AI capacity remain attributed to the vendor unless independently testable. A listed integration is not proof of correct import for every instrument.

The seven entries are TSB Full Access, TradeZella, TraderSync, Edgewonk, Tradervue, Chartlog, and Kinfo. Journalytix appeared in the prior article’s broader content but was removed so the visible set matches the protected “7 apps” promise. It can be reconsidered in a later comparison only with the same source, scope, and plan checks.

Prices and plan gates are volatile. The editorial order, explanations, headings, title, and URL must change only after review; they do not update automatically when a vendor changes a checkout page. Recheck every official link at deployment, then schedule a source refresh rather than silently carrying a September 2026 snapshot forward.
