Trader's Second Brain Trader's Second Brain
Product changelog

What changed, and what it gives you.

A plain-language record of new features, meaningful improvements, integrations, and fixes you can actually notice.

New Improved Fixed

This record covers user-facing work from the first public web app through September 3, 2026. Internal maintenance, tests, monitoring, and deployment work are intentionally excluded.

September 2026

Improved

Broker sync now tells you what happened

Connected accounts now distinguish a completed sync, no new trades, a cooldown, and a connection or permission problem. You can see when an account was last checked, when it last imported trades, and what to do next instead of waiting on a silent failure.

New

Tradovate fees and positions import together

Upload Cash History first and Position History second. TSB combines the two files automatically, so the journal can keep the position details, commissions, and exact Net P&L without asking you to merge spreadsheets.

Fixed

Faster account switching and trade saves

Journal requests no longer hold the session while heavy trade data loads. Switching accounts, opening a large history, and saving an edited trade can continue without unrelated page requests blocking the result.

Improved

AI Coach uses the evidence each question needs

General performance, timing, consistency, setup, and account questions can now use the trading history you already have. Missing stop or target data limits only the answers that truly need it, while account scope and the selected evidence range stay attached to the question.

Improved

The dashboard calendar shows trade frequency

The monthly calendar now shows the total number of trades beside monthly P&L and a compact trade count inside each active day. You can compare result and activity without opening every date.

Improved

323 verified import profiles across 137 named sources

Supported Brokers now lists 137 named brokers, exchanges, platforms, and journals, while the importer recognizes 323 verified trade-history profile variants. You can check the exact supported path before connecting an account or preparing a file.

Fixed

Safer date detection and cleaner IBKR execution imports

Ambiguous day-and-month dates are resolved more safely, and IBKR activity imports keep execution rows separate from statement metadata. The import preview shows the interpreted fields before anything is saved.

August 2026

Fixed

First Read continues into the post-import review

After the first completed import, First Read now leads directly from the finding to its matching dashboard action. The next step stays attached to the result you just reviewed.

Improved

Large import review stays bounded and keeps the source file

Large previews limit the visible trade rows, preserve the original structured file, and show the current import stage. First broker imports are labelled Import history and explain the longer initial wait before the faster incremental syncs begin.

Fixed

More complete Hyperliquid, Bybit, and cTrader histories

Hyperliquid reversals now preserve both sides of the position, and current Bybit unified-margin and compact cTrader exports are recognized automatically. Reversal fills and export columns arrive as a complete mapped history.

Improved

Prop guides link directly to firms and comparisons

Rule guides now link to the relevant firm profiles, offers, and comparison pages. A trader researching one rule can move directly to the firms and plans it affects.

Fixed

Safer import validation

Import validation now distinguishes summary-only P&L reports from individual trades before saving. Entered and exited trade histories also receive stricter pairing checks, so totals stay tied to actual positions.

Improved

Large imports use less memory

Large CSV, TSV, JSON, and HTML histories are now read in smaller parts, and interrupted jobs can resume from their recorded progress. Long imports use less memory while the app stays responsive.

Improved

95 recognized import layouts

The importer now recognizes 95 broker, platform, and journal layouts. If a file is not recognized, you can request support for it, and a verified fix can be reused for the next trader with the same layout.

New

Behavior findings from raw trade history

Leak Map can now detect repeated behavior directly from trade sequences, even when setup tags or notes are incomplete. Raw history becomes ranked patterns and a clearer next focus.

Improved

AI answers grounded in visible evidence

AI Coach now answers from the same trades, setup evidence, and findings shown elsewhere in the app. Explanations stay tied to records you can inspect instead of drifting into generic advice.

Improved

Journal and Reports load large histories in smaller slices

Journal, Reports, Backtester, Setups, and the prop directory now defer inactive work and retain less data in memory. Large accounts render fewer records at once, reducing browser work on desktop and mobile.

New

Trade Review keeps corrections and evidence together

The trade, narrative, corrections, and supporting attachments now stay in the same review workspace. Editing the record no longer separates it from the evidence used to explain the change.

Improved

Reports use one period definition across every view

Weekly, monthly, and account reports now calculate their observed metrics from the same period boundaries. Switching views no longer mixes results from different date scopes.

Improved

Backtester records the hypothesis beside every run

Each backtest now starts with a written hypothesis and keeps observed results separate from assumptions. Account filters show exactly which trades were included in the result.

Improved

Settings shows which account owns product access

Billing settings now identify the account that owns access and list what remains available in each billing state. Upgrade and renewal actions use that same account context.

New

Daily Review checks whether Current Focus was followed

Current Focus now appears in Daily Review, records whether you followed it, and compares the result with similar trades. Each focus becomes a measurable test with an outcome.

New

Rule replay against your own history

Prop rule replay can run your trade history against a selected rule set and keep the result tied to the exact rules used. Firm comparisons become personal, while older results stay understandable after rules change.

Improved

Imports and edits update the same trade record

Imports, manual edits, reviews, and account views now reference the same evidence record. A correction updates the trade without disconnecting its review context.

New

A first answer immediately after import

The free audit now shows a first finding, which account it covers, the sample, and supporting trades before opening the full dashboard. You get an answer first, then decide what to inspect next.

July 2026

12 updates
New

Trading Plan compares planned rules with Daily Review

Trading Plan combines setups, account limits, and the day's focus, then passes them into Daily Review. The review can compare the actions you planned with the trades you actually took.

Improved

85 recognized import layouts

Import coverage reached 85 recognized broker, platform, and journal layouts. More histories arrive pre-mapped instead of requiring column-by-column setup.

Fixed

Notion setup now explains a missing database

The setup wizard now explains that the template must be duplicated before its database can appear. This gives users a direct recovery path instead of sending them through repeated reconnects.

Improved

Checkout keeps delivery and refund terms beside payment

Checkout now shows what is delivered after payment and places refund terms beside the purchase action. The product and account context that opened checkout remain visible through payment.

Improved

Supported Sources separates sync, file, pilot, and requested

Every provider is now labelled as live sync, file import, pilot, or requested. The directory shows which path works before you prepare a file or connect an account.

Fixed

Reliable public profile sharing

Public profile sharing now keeps the correct account context and produces a usable social preview. Shared cards render without exposing the private workspace.

New

Notifications for requested import formats

If an uploaded format is not supported yet, you can request it and receive an email when it is ready. You no longer need to retry the same file blindly.

Improved

Setup rules connect planning and review

Setup rules now feed both the daily plan and individual trade plan, while rule marks stay attached to the trade. Reviews can compare intention with execution.

New

Account-first Prop Tracker

Prop Tracker now links a trading account to a selected firm and shows progress and rule fit in one workspace. Firm directory pages can open directly into the matching tracker context.

New

Evidence-driven weekly and monthly reviews

Weekly reviews and monthly progress updates now use changes in your actual trading evidence. They summarize what moved, what still matters, and where more data is needed.

New

Notion template included for lifetime buyers

Lifetime buyers now receive the Notion template as part of product delivery. It is available without a separate purchase or support request.

New

First Read on the dashboard

New accounts now reach a first read after the first import. The dashboard highlights one concrete finding and the next action instead of opening on empty analytics.

June 2026

10 updates
New

Broker data security explained in one place

A dedicated security page now explains how each connection works, what TSB can read, and what it cannot do. The supported-sources view makes read-only access and file-based options easier to compare.

Improved

Partner portal groups referrals, conversions, and payouts

Referrals, conversions, payout status, and account actions now share one portal view. Partners can see what is pending and what has been paid without switching reports.

Improved

AI Coach keeps account context from the Dashboard

Opening AI Coach from the Dashboard or a review now carries the selected account and trade context into the conversation. The underlying trades do not need to be selected again.

New

Light theme and self-service account controls

The app and docs now include a light theme, while Settings adds direct billing management and account deletion. Appearance and account ownership can be managed without a support ticket.

Improved

Deeper Binance and OKX history

Binance can now pull older history and calculate spot fees and inventory more accurately. OKX can recover more history and combine derivatives that share one net position, making duplicates less likely.

Improved

One Notion auto-push setting

Notion auto-push now follows one setting for manual, imported, and synced trades. You no longer need to reconcile different rules for each source.

New

Timezone-aware imports and analytics

You can set the timezone used by a source or file, and TSB applies it consistently across sessions and reports. Trades land on the correct day and session without manual date shifts.

Improved

More complete MT4, MT5, and IBKR sync

MT4 and MT5 sync now preserves entry executions, while IBKR Flex adds confirmations, fees, and safer updates that only add new activity. Provider refreshes no longer overwrite manual corrections.

New

Restore tools for imports and sync

Settings now includes recovery actions for cleared imports, sync history, and account state. Accidental cleanup no longer has to mean rebuilding the workspace from zero.

New

TradingView alert intake

TradingView alerts can now create secure capture drafts automatically. Signals arrive in the journal with source context ready for review.

May 2026

9 updates
Improved

Settings groups reconnect, credentials, status, and sync

Each source card now contains its reconnect action, credentials, connection status, and manual sync control. Provider status messages appear beside the relevant recovery action.

New

tastytrade pilot connection

tastytrade became available as a pilot connection for supported account activity. Traders can test the flow with explicit status and connection guidance before relying on a full history.

Fixed

Product-specific refund handling

Refund handling is now isolated to the refunded product, while other purchases on the same account remain available.

Improved

Entry and exit screenshots side by side

Journal screenshots now open in a focused lightbox with support for two images at once. Entry and exit context can be compared without leaving the trade.

Improved

Review imports before saving

CSV imports now show one review screen before trades are saved. You can confirm field mapping, currencies, and required values before they enter the Journal.

Fixed

More reliable IBKR statement handling

IBKR imports now handle mixed report sections, confirmation rows, native currencies, fees, and rows with optional leading text. Trade executions are recovered consistently across the supported statement variants.

New

TradingView Capture extension

A browser extension can capture a TradingView chart, attach the screenshot, prefill trade context, and save directly to TSB. Review evidence can be recorded without rebuilding the chart later.

New

Google sign-in and email codes

Accounts can now sign in with Google or a one-time email code alongside the existing password flow. Access no longer depends on remembering one specific login method.

New

Daily Review workspace

A dedicated review workspace now brings the day's plan, completed trades, notes, and follow-up actions together. The daily process is easier to complete without jumping across the app.

April 2026

9 updates
New

Multi-currency reporting

Journal, Reports, Backtester, widgets, and calculators can now convert results into a chosen display currency using recorded and current rates. Accounts in different currencies can be compared without manual spreadsheets.

Improved

Stronger format recognition

Import suggestions now recognize more order-status and Sierra-style histories and explain the detected layout before saving. Files require less manual mapping and ambiguous rows are easier to spot.

New

Setup workspace

Setups now have their own workspace for rules, media, activity, and performance evidence. A playbook entry can grow from an idea into a measurable setup without losing its examples.

Fixed

Screenshots survive Notion sync and migration

Trade screenshots now write back to Notion correctly and are carried through template migration. Visual evidence stays attached when a workspace is upgraded.

Improved

Smarter import mapping

The mapping screen now suggests likely fields and explains uncertain matches before the import continues. You spend less time matching columns and can correct doubtful choices earlier.

Fixed

Correct forex P&L conversion

Imported forex trades now apply currency conversion consistently when calculating P&L. Account totals no longer drift because a quote currency was treated as the account currency.

New

Notion template migration assistant

Existing users can move to the newer Notion template while preserving trades, setup relations, and Notion updates. The assistant finds the old databases, explains reconnect steps, and supports a safe rerun.

New

Playbook and persistent Coach context

The new Playbook connects setups, evidence, and review decisions, while AI Coach can retain the conversation context behind them. You can return to an analysis without rebuilding the question from scratch.

Improved

Imports continue in the background

CSV imports now run as tracked background jobs with visible progress. Larger files can finish while the Journal remains available.

March 2026

14 updates
Improved

A clearer dashboard and journal

Dashboard, navigation, and trade cards now follow one clearer hierarchy. The selected account, important actions, and performance evidence are easier to find across desktop and mobile.

New

MT4 and MT5 automatic sync

The downloadable MetaTrader assistants can now send account history into TSB and keep it updated. Traders no longer need to export a fresh statement for every review.

Improved

Faster Add Trade and Import actions

Add Trade and Import are now available directly from the sidebar and open the correct Journal panel. Common capture work takes fewer page changes.

New

Installable web app

Trader's Second Brain can now be installed from a supported browser as a web app. The workspace opens from an app icon while keeping the same account and data.

New

Prop account tracking

A dedicated tracker now records challenge progress, rule pressure, and account status in a responsive workspace. Prop accounts no longer have to be monitored in a separate spreadsheet.

New

Voice capture and trade export

You can dictate trade details or a review note and turn the recording into structured journal context. Trade history can also be exported for archiving or independent analysis.

New

More broker and platform connections

Connection and import coverage expanded for Tradovate, Alpaca, cTrader, TradeStation, tastytrade, Tradier, IBKR, and OANDA. More accounts can feed the same journal without a custom spreadsheet.

Improved

Automatic P&L and R:R calculations

Trade forms can now calculate P&L from entries, exits, fees, contract size, and exchange rate, then calculate side-aware R:R from the stop. Manual values remain available when the broker report is authoritative.

New

Bulk push to Notion

Selected Journal trades can now be pushed to Notion in one action. Imported or manually entered trades no longer need to be opened one by one.

New

Reports and richer CSV fields

A new Reports page brings weekly and account-level analysis together, while CSV import adds stop loss, funding fee, swap, contract size, exchange rate, entry date, and leverage. Imported histories preserve more of the information needed for review.

Improved

Bulk correction tools in the Journal

You can select and delete multiple non-Notion trades at once, with sync state shown on each row or card. Correcting an import takes one bulk action instead of editing trades individually.

New

Trading Pulse and clearer trade quality

Trading Pulse summarizes momentum across the latest trades, while Trade Quality shows the score and its components more clearly. Recent performance is easier to read without reducing it to win rate.

Improved

More readable equity charts

Equity curves now use a responsive line that separates positive and negative segments and keeps date labels stable. The chart stays readable across account sizes and screen widths.

Improved

Journal pagination for large accounts

The Journal now renders 50 trades at a time and loads more on demand. Accounts with 500 or more trades keep the initial browser workload bounded instead of rendering the full history at once.

February 2026

13 updates
New

USDT and USDC checkout

Checkout now includes a crypto payment option alongside card payment. Traders can pay with supported USDT or USDC flows and receive the same product delivery.

New

Public guide library

The first structured guide library launched with practical pages on prop firms, taxes, psychology, position sizing, and backtesting. Traders can move from a question to a calculator or product workflow without leaving the site.

New

Email and password accounts

You can create and access a TSB account without using Notion as the login method. Notion remains optional and can be connected later for the workspace workflow.

New

Manual trade entry

The Journal can now create and edit trades directly, including prices, side, P&L, R:R, setup, session, account, fees, notes, and a screenshot. Setup, pair, and account suggestions reduce repeated typing.

Improved

Notion mapping and funding fees

Exchange sync now follows each user's Notion column mapping and can write broker P&L and funding fees into the correct fields. Binance and Bybit fee handling was corrected at the same time.

Fixed

MT4, MT5, and IBKR file imports

MT4 and MT5 HTML statements now find the real header below section titles, while nested IBKR Flex JSON files are detected automatically. These files can be imported without flattening them first.

New

Clear the Journal and start again

A Clear All Trades action can now reset the Journal and its source sync timestamp. Re-importing a corrected history no longer requires support intervention.

Improved

Sessions calculated during import

When a CSV file does not include a session, TSB now derives Asia, London, or New York from the entry time. Session analysis works immediately after import instead of leaving a blank segment.

Fixed

Ordered equity dates and guided empty states

Equity charts now keep dates in order, while empty sections explain which data will appear after the first trades arrive. New workspaces show the next useful action from the start.

New

14 free trading calculators

A public tools hub launched with 14 calculators for risk, position size, P&L, drawdown, compounding, Fibonacci, pivots, currencies, and crypto. Each tool explains the result instead of returning a number without context.

New

A dedicated Journal workspace

The web app added a Journal with account goals and trade-level records alongside the dashboard. Reviews can start from individual trades instead of only aggregate widgets.

New

Trader's Second Brain web app

The first web app brought the Journal, dashboards, AI review, backtesting, widgets, Notion sync, broker connections, and public profiles into one product. Traders could capture history and review it without building the surrounding system themselves.

New

Self-service checkout and plan access

Paddle checkout and plan-based access were added for paid product areas. Purchases can unlock the correct workspace without a manual handoff.
