How it works

From platform report to reviewed journal.

The available workflow is CSV-based today. Native sync is coming soon and has no announced date.

  1. 01

    Open Tradovate Reports

Open the account menu in Tradovate and choose Reports. Select the exact account and date range you want to review, then run the report.

  2. 02

    Download Position History

Run Position History for the selected account and range. Choose Download Report to save the CSV used to rebuild completed trades.

  3. 03

    Download Cash History

Run Cash History for the same account and date range, then download its CSV. This file provides the fee ledger used for exact Net P&L.

  4. 04

    Upload the pair to TSB

Upload Position History first, then add Cash History when prompted. Review the matched account, timezone, and data quality before importing.

Import detail

Position History contains the trade result. Cash History adds commission, exchange, clearing, and NFA fees. Matching the account and date range across both exports is what makes the combined Net P&L reconciliation reliable.

Security boundary

History in. No trading access.

The current path uses reports you download and choose to upload. TSB does not receive Tradovate sign-in credentials and cannot place or change orders, move funds, or request a withdrawal. Native sync is coming soon and will use read-only history access.

FAQ

Questions before you import.

Answers based on the current importer and the report fields available today.

Which Tradovate reports do I need?

Download Position History and Cash History for the same account and date range. Upload Position History first, then add Cash History when TSB prompts you.

What data is imported?

The paired import uses completed position history plus the related cash ledger, including available instrument, side, quantity, entry and exit timing, realized P&L, commission, exchange, clearing, and NFA fees.

Is P&L net or gross?

Position History alone contains gross P&L. Adding the matching Cash History report allows TSB to calculate Net P&L with the fee categories present in Tradovate.

How often should I import?

Import on the cadence that fits your review routine. Use matching account and date ranges each time; the review step helps identify rows that already exist.

What about prop accounts that use Tradovate?

They can be imported when Tradovate exposes Position History and Cash History for that account. Select the exact prop account in Reports and use the same account and date range for both files.

Can TSB place orders or request withdrawals?

No. CSV import is read-only by design: it only processes the reports you select and upload. It has no order-entry, transfer, or withdrawal access.

When will native sync be available?

Native sync is coming soon. We are not publishing a date until read-only account-history coverage has completed validation.
