Source check September 23, 2026. This comparison holds the scope constant: global 100K FundedNext Stellar 2-Step vs The5ers High Stakes New, phase one. The selected The5ers 100K plan shows 4% daily and 8% maximum loss; an older FAQ still gives 5% and 10% without a size distinction. Keep the terms for your own account. Temporary prices do not decide the winner.
Two Different Philosophies, One Exact Comparison
Choose FundedNext Stellar 2-Step when an 8% first target and unrestricted challenge-stage news execution fit your tested strategy. Choose The5ers High Stakes New when a 14-day first reward window and three qualifying profitable days fit better, even though its first target is 10% and it restricts new executions around high-impact news.
Neither firm wins for every trader. The selected The5ers $100K New plan has a 4% daily and 8% static maximum loss limit; FundedNext Stellar 2-Step has 5% and 10%. Both allow overnight and weekend holding and publish an 80% starting funded reward share. The practical choice is where the friction lands: FundedNext asks for five trading days in each evaluation phase and starts the first funded cycle at 21 days; The5ers asks for three genuinely profitable days in each phase and applies a narrow news-execution blackout.
FundedNext fits better if
- Your historical path reaches 8% materially more often than 10% before touching each program’s confirmed loss limits.
- You need to open or close trades through high-impact news during the evaluation.
- You need MT4, MT5, Match-Trader, or cTrader, subject to region and account-size availability.
The5ers fits better if
- Your strategy naturally produces three days at or above the program’s profitable-day threshold.
- A first reward request after 14 funded days matters more than the lower first evaluation target.
- Your platform route is supported and your entries can avoid the high-impact news window.

Cost to Get Started: Compare the Same Program Size
This comparison holds both sides at a global 100K two-step scope. Do not compare a smaller teaser account, promotion or another program family against the other firm’s standard 100K route.
Save the final order total, including add-ons, tax, processing charges and currency conversion; current checkout controls the purchase.
100K price check
FundedNext Stellar 2-Step: ~0. The5ers High Stakes New: ~0. The5ers costs less upfront; the better fit depends on the rules your trades can survive.
Evaluation Rules Compared
The first-stage headline difference is simple: FundedNext asks for 8%; The5ers asks for 10%. The loss envelopes are not identical: the selected The5ers $100K New plan has tighter 4% daily and 8% maximum limits than FundedNext’s 5% and 10%. An older The5ers FAQ omits this account-size distinction. The daily reset definition, open equity, commissions, swaps, minimum-day rule, news behavior, and prohibited strategies decide which path survives real trades.
| Decision field | FundedNext Stellar 2-Step | The5ers High Stakes New | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase-one target | 8% | 10% | Replay how often the extra distance increases exposure before completion. |
| Phase-two target | 5% | 5% | The first-phase difference disappears in verification. |
| Loss structure | 5% daily; 10% static maximum | 4% daily; 8% static maximum for the selected $100K New plan | Open P&L and daily reset definitions still need separate replay. |
| Minimum activity | 5 trading days per phase | 3 profitable days per phase | A The5ers day must meet the defined profit threshold; activity alone is not enough. |
| Maximum evaluation time | No maximum time stated for this challenge | Unlimited evaluation duration; inactivity still applies | No deadline does not mean an account can remain inactive forever. |
| Challenge news trading | Allowed | Existing positions may remain; new execution is restricted around relevant high-impact news | A news-dependent entry model can fail the contract before target math matters. |
A minimum-day rule is not a recommendation to manufacture trades. For The5ers, a profitable day currently requires at least 0.5% of initial balance. On a 100K scope that definition corresponds to $500; it is a rule conversion, not a live price or a suggested daily target. If the strategy does not naturally produce three such days, the shorter count is not the easier constraint.
Holding, News, and Platform Restrictions
Both exact programs allow positions to remain open overnight and over the weekend. That does not remove gap or swap risk. FundedNext says swaps and other trading costs count toward the risk limits. The5ers warns that weekend swaps on some indices can be substantial. A permitted hold can still breach the account when the market reopens or costs post.
News rules are stage-specific
FundedNext allows news trading in the Stellar 2-Step challenge. On a funded account, its current rule counts only 40% of profit from trades executed within five minutes before or after listed high-impact news while applying losses in full. The5ers High Stakes permits an existing position to stay open, but prohibits new execution from two minutes before until two minutes after relevant high-impact news; violating profits can be removed while losses remain.
Do not turn either summary into an execution signal. Match the event currency, listed calendar, order type, modification behavior, server time, and stage to the exact current rule. A pending order triggered inside a blocked window can be treated as an execution even if it was placed earlier.
Platform choice can decide the result
FundedNext currently describes MT4, MT5, Match-Trader, and cTrader routes, but region and account-size limits apply; TradingView is presented as an analysis route rather than direct execution. The5ers currently describes MT5, cTrader, and TradingView routes outside the US and TradingView for US customers, with an added cTrader charge. Platform selection may be locked after purchase. Verify the exact checkout instead of treating a brand-wide platform list as entitlement.
Payout, Profit Share, and Fee Recovery
Both programs publish an 80% starting funded reward share with higher later tiers. A headline split does not state when a request becomes eligible, which profit is countable, whether a minimum applies, what processing fee is deducted, or whether the receiving rail is available in your country.
| Payout field | FundedNext Stellar 2-Step | The5ers High Stakes New |
|---|---|---|
| Starting share | 80%; routes to 90%, with an optional higher-share add-on | 80%; higher scaling tiers can increase it |
| First request clock | 21-day first funded cycle | After 14 funded days |
| Later cadence | Can become 14 days after the applicable profitable/requested cycle | Every two weeks under the current policy |
| Challenge reward / fee | Conditional challenge reward; fee refund follows the first qualifying funded reward, not merely passing | Hub Credits after phases; part of externally paid fee can be added to funded equity and later withdrawn under conditions |
| Payment rails | Several crypto, regional, provider, and bank routes; availability and charges vary | Rise, crypto, and bank routes; current minimums, caps, and processing charges apply |
FundedNext’s advertised 15% challenge reward is conditional: it is not an immediate payment for passing and is unavailable to US clients under the reviewed rule. The5ers’ phase credits are not cash. Its current fee mechanism can add part of an externally paid purchase to funded equity, then make it withdrawable only with a qualifying reward. Treat both as contingent recovery paths, not discounts you can bank at checkout.

The5ers’ Hyper Growth Is Not This High Stakes Comparison
The old version called Hyper Growth a one-step path and then used its 4M headline to award The5ers the scaling win. That is a category error. This article compares High Stakes New, a two-step evaluation. Its published scaling ceiling is 500K. The5ers’ Hyper Growth and Bootcamp routes are separate contracts with different entry, target, loss, progression, and ceiling rules.
FundedNext also has overlapping scaling descriptions. A general Scale-Up FAQ currently describes a four-consecutive-month route tied to cumulative growth, multiple rewards, and a profitable final cycle, with a possible 40% balance increase and a 4M ceiling. A separate FundedNext Pro page effective January 12, 2026 describes four qualifying rewards, at least 4% in each qualifying cycle, 25% increases, and the same ceiling. Because those current descriptions are not identical, this guide does not merge them into one promised “fast scaling” formula.
Scaling is a later conditional benefit, not the first decision metric. Compare the exact funded agreement offered to your purchase cohort. Ask support which document controls, save the written response, and model the sequence of targets, reward withdrawals, drawdown changes, and time. A theoretical ceiling does not help a strategy that cannot clear the evaluation or remain within its conduct rules.
Which Trader Profile Fits Each Firm?
Lower-target, event-active CFD trader
Leaning: FundedNext. The lower first target and challenge-stage news permission are relevant advantages. Verify the funded news-profit adjustment, five-day requirement, regional platform route, and first 21-day cycle before buying.
Patient swing trader on a supported platform
Leaning: The5ers. Weekend holding and the 14-day first request can fit, provided three 0.5% profitable days occur naturally and new executions can avoid the news blackout. Model swaps and gaps rather than reading “allowed” as “low risk.”
Trader relying on a specific terminal
Leaning: checkout-dependent. Platform availability varies by country, size, and provider. Confirm the execution platform—not merely TradingView chart access—and whether the selection can be changed after purchase.
Trader choosing by maximum scaling
Leaning: neither until the funded contract is read. High Stakes does not carry The5ers’ 4M program headline, while FundedNext publishes overlapping scale-up descriptions. Choose the reachable first withdrawal path before a theoretical ceiling.
Neither company is a regulated retail broker under the program terms reviewed here. The evaluation environments are described as simulated, and a funded-stage label does not automatically mean the trader controls a live brokerage account. A longer operating history or a published payout page is useful context, but neither guarantees future solvency, account approval, or payment.
Track the Contract, Not the Logo
Trader’s Second Brain is our product. Its Prop Firm Challenge Tracker lets a trader bind imported history to an exact firm, program, phase, region, account size, and reviewed rule version. TSB currently supports 331 broker and platform profiles, and a lifetime-access option is available. These are TSB workflow strengths; they do not make its simulation the operational authority.
Use the tracker to replay daily-loss use, maximum-loss pressure, target progress, and stage-specific rule events against the exact program snapshot. Keep the original export and review any unmatched rows. For consistency-style constraints, the prop-firm consistency rule guide explains why profitable days, activity days, and largest-day limits cannot be treated as the same rule.
The firm dashboard, signed agreement and current official terms remain authoritative. If a TSB replay disagrees with them, preserve both versions, compare the exact rule and contact support before relying on the result.
Decision Checklist Before You Pay
- Lock the identity. Record firm, program, phase, region, account size, purchase cohort, and legal entity.
- Save the live order. Capture base amount, currency, tax, processing charge, add-on, promotion expiry, and refund wording.
- Rebuild the loss clocks. Include equity, balance, floating P&L, commissions, swaps, server midnight, and maximum-loss behavior after gains or rewards.
- Replay minimum days. Distinguish any-trade days from profitable days and apply the exact qualifying threshold.
- Test restricted windows. Replay news executions, pending orders, overnight holds, weekend gaps, automation, copiers, VPN/IP behavior, and inactivity.
- Map first usable cash. Separate evaluation completion, identity checks, funded start, request eligibility, approval, processing, provider fees, and receipt.
- Set a loss budget. Decide the maximum number of attempts and cash exposure before purchase. The displayed account size is not capital you own.
Official Sources Checked
Price and rule sources were checked on September 23, 2026. The current The5ers 100K plan selector controls this new-purchase comparison; preserve older account terms separately. Open the exact current document again before purchase because update dates, regional redirects, and checkout cohorts can change.
- FundedNext: current CFD programs and price table, Stellar 2-Step rules, funded trading cycles, and reward share.
- The5ers: High Stakes program page, High Stakes rules, payout and fee policy, regional platforms, and terms and conditions.
- Contract boundary: FundedNext CFD challenge terms and The5ers terms describe the relevant evaluation relationship; neither source should be replaced by review-site ratings.
How This Comparison Was Checked
We held the comparison to the exact program, global region, 100K account size and first evaluation stage. We then checked targets, loss limits, minimum days, time limits, holding and news rules, platforms, starting reward share, first request timing, fee recovery, scaling scope, payment rails and legal terms. A value is omitted rather than borrowed from a neighboring program when a current first-party source does not establish it.
Program pages and help-center rules support the terms stated here; they do not prove future execution quality, support speed, solvency, payout approval or trader profitability.
Recheck the exact checkout, agreement and applicable rule pages on purchase day, and keep copies with the program, size, region and date visible.
The Bottom Line
FundedNext Stellar 2-Step is the better fit for a global 100K CFD trader whose edge benefits from the lower 8% first target or challenge-stage news access. The5ers High Stakes New is the better fit for a trader whose history naturally meets three profitable days and who values the earlier 14-day first reward request.
The5ers costs less upfront in this comparison. Do not give High Stakes a 4M ceiling borrowed from another The5ers route. The selected 100K plan has tighter 4% daily and 8% maximum loss limits than the older size-agnostic FAQ states. Use the terms for your own account when replaying trades and choose the program your tested process can survive.
